The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is asking for user feedback about CBD to present during the upcoming Convention of Psychotropic Substances, a convention hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and overseen by the United Nations. As stated below on

“The FDA is requesting interested persons to submit comments concerning abuse potential, actual abuse, medical usefulness, trafficking, and impact of scheduling changes non availability for medical use of 17 drug substances. These comments will be considered in preparing a response from the United States to the WHO regarding the abuse liability and diversion of these drugs. WHO will use this information to consider whether to recommend that certain international restrictions be placed on these drugs. This notice requesting comments is required by the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).”

Cannabidiol is just one of 17 substances the FDA hopes to present at the Convention. Although CBD may see only 1/17th of the floor time, this is nevertheless an incredible leap forward since the CSA classifies cannabis as a Schedule 1 substance, which is defined as “no currently accepted medical use in the United States, high potential for abuse, and lack of accepted safety for use of the drug under medical supervision.”

However, Anna K. Abram, Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Planning, Legislation, and Analysis, as well as the point person for the comment board, said that cannabidiol “has been shown to be beneficial in experimental models of several neurological disorders, including those of seizure and epilepsy.”

Clearly, there is a rift between the CSA’s classification of cannabis as being “non-medicinal” within the parameters of being labelled a Schedule 1 substance, versus what the FDA hopes to present with our testimonials.

Perhaps we can ride the UK’s momentum, who recently legalized CBD as a medicinal substance.

Have you been wanting to help legalize CBD as a legitimate medicinal substance? Then click here to join over 2,000 comments by CBD users since the FDA posted this call-to-action on August 14th. The deadline to submit your comments is set for September 13!

  1. I have several health issues and decided to try CBD oil October 2017. I was surprise how much it helped me. My story is long and drawn out so I’ll try to give you a condensed version. I had insomnia. Pain woke me up, muscle craps plagued me also. I stopped dreaming years ago. After taking CBD oil I slept through the night and started dreaming. Being I’m 66 and ate a fatty diet my bathroom habits was painful, long & drawn out. Now they are that of a child’s. I had so much inflammation from arthritis due to much body trauma. And because of COPD my lungs was so inflamed I looked 8 months pregnant. CBD oil really reduced the inflammation. I want to stress that CBD oil is not a miracle product but it made me feel good enough that I started researching other natural remedies to improve my conditions. Turmeric curcumin also aids in inflammation, water water water is a must and raw African Shea Butter is a great pain antiseptic cream for back, hips and any where arthritis is causing pain. CBD oil will always be on the top of my list. Please support CBD oil.

  2. I ordered a bottle yesterday, it concerns me that I was charged a international fee due to using my cc , Pure Kana uses a processing center oversea’s. Disturbs me as to why they do not have a Credit Card Processing her inthe USA!!!!

    1. Hello,

I apologize for any confusion and inconvenience, the international fee is on your banks end. There are some banks whom charge a small international fee because our processing center is currently located in the UK and they see this as an international charge. This information is on our contact page on our website, again we are very sorry for any confusion or inconvenience Ann.

  3. Just recently I was stunned how CBD oil helped me with back pain and elbow pain. This is nothing short of a miracle! Please keep your good job and publicize the numerous benefits of CBD oil to humanity. Thank you!

  4. I started taking CBD oil for Bruxism (teeth grinding and clenching while sleeping). To name a few problems, I have excessive tooth wear and sensitivity, plus fractured 2 teeth leading to root canal and crowns while suffering from this condition over the years. There is no effective treatment besides wearing a mouth guard to sleep. A guard only helps so much – if you clench your teeth while sleeping your jaw is still sore when you wake whether you have a guard on your teeth or not. CBD oil has helped relax me enough where I don’t wake every morning sore from clenching my teeth. It’s a miracle how much better I feel and my face feels from a few simple drops under the tongue before bed. No one in the history of the world has ever OD’d on cannabis – what are we really afraid of? This should not be classified as a schedule 1 substance so we can more easily do research and see what other things this plant can do to help us.

    1. We love to hear you have found relief! I agree, it should be legalized nationwide as it is a medicine and can heal many individuals from sleep to an illness to addiction.
