A Roadmap to CBD in Missouri
CBD is a huge business with an annual turnover in the range of billions of dollars. Therefore, it seems strange that the regulations surrounding it are of thrift store standard! Ask ten people to discuss CBD guidelines, and you’ll probably get at least eight different answers. With few official guidelines in place, it is up to states to implement and enforce rules. The outcome is predictably messy – and confusing.
The federal government had the chance to clarify matters with the 2018 Farm Bill. This act permitted the growth of industrial hemp; however, it did not make the same clarifications for CBD (cannabidiol) specifically. In a nutshell, states are still allowed to make their own decisions regarding CBD and hemp cultivation.
When it comes to CBD, Missouri isn’t too far off the pace compared to other ‘progressive’ states. In fact, basic online searches for Missouri CBD stores suggest that hemp-based products are relatively easy to find. Indeed, the compound is becoming increasingly available across the state. Still, consumers want to know how to separate the good quality products from, well, the not so good ones.
In this guide, we aim to explain the guidelines on industrial hemp and CBD oil in Missouri. Hopefully, it will give you a better indication of where things stand, and how you can go about finding a quality, well-made product that’s trusted across the industry.
Ever dreamt of taking your daily amount of CBD and actually being able to enjoy how it tastes? Edibles are your answer. With an edible, you can take CBD in a delicious format without even realizing that you’re consuming cannabidiol.
Most edibles come in the form of gummies. That is, gummy bears infused with CBD. Usually, each gummy contains around 25mg of CBD, which is ideal for most users. They’re tasty, convenient, and ideal for using on the go. You can browse our 100% vegan selection of CBD gummies right here in the Pure Kana online store, as well as other edibles products like our range of CBD Beverage Enhancers.
CBD creams provide a way to apply cannabidiol locally to specific areas of the skin. In other words, you don’t consume it, so it doesn’t impact the whole body. CBD topicals are excellent for targeting a specific area on the body.
Depending on the specific blend of ingredients, you can achieve many things with a CBD topical. The various CBD lotions and moisturizers that we offer here at Pure Kana are perfect for hydrating your skin, for example. Plus, our CBD topicals smell exquisite thanks to the inclusion of essential oils. And of course, all of our products are cruelty-free and made right here in the USA!
Although some still consider vaping controversial, the reality is that it’s become an incredibly popular way to consume CBD. In fact, all you need to do is inhale!
Pure Kana CBD vape pens offer an easy-to-use format, and our line of CBD e-liquids come in many varieties, including Watermelon Mint, Blue Raz, Mint, and Blood Orange. New to vaping? No worries – try our disposable vape pen today to see if you like it before you buy a more expensive vaporizer.
Many newcomers to CBD prefer to start with CBD oil. This product is the standard in the market, as it offers a range of strengths to get you started. CBD oils come with a dropper attached to the bottle, conveniently allowing you to test out various milligram amounts.
As time goes on, you might find you want to increase the amount of CBD that you take each day. CBD oils can have a strong flavor, which is why we have created a range of expertly-crafted flavored CBD oils for our customers.
In terms of the status of industrial hemp in Missouri, a relatively large breakthrough actually occurred way back in 2014. When House Bill 2054 was passed, it stated that industrial hemp was not a controlled substance. Also in 2014, House Bill 2238 allowed the Missouri Department of Agriculture to grow industrial hemp for research purposes, under the guidelines of the 2014 U.S. Farm Bill.
In 2018, things changed again, and again the changes were for the better regarding hemp cultivation. The Missouri State General Assembly decided to classify hemp as its own plant, thereby ‘accepting’ the legislation put forth in the 2018 version of the U.S. Farm Bill, which legalized hemp cultivation.
Remember, the U.S. Farm Bill legalizes hemp, but it still allows individual states to decide whether or not they want to allow hemp cultivation (under the 2014 legislation hemp was only legal to grow under pilot programs). Missouri has now implemented these measure, meaning farmers can now apply if they are interested in growing hemp commercially.
There’s no telling what the future will hold for hemp in the ‘Show-Me State,’ but for now, it appears that there is no in-state production of hemp-derived CBD oil in Missouri. Hemp is processed into CBD in other states, though, and these products have obviously made their way into MO.
If you’re like many other MO residents, you may have had second thoughts about trying to purchase CBD online in Missouri in the past. After all, the state’s guidelines have been pretty confusing in recent times. Now that CBD is more popular than ever, it’s important to be able to distinguish quality above all else. That’s why we recommend investing in a quality, reputable brand like Pure Kana. Visit our official online store now to browse all Pure Kana products and shop from a range of high-quality CBD options.
As far as hemp cultivation in the state, we hope we’ve been able to shed some light on the current situation in Missouri. The CBD industry is proving enormously popular, and it would probably would have benefitted the state to make guidelines clearer in the past. Regardless, hemp production in Missouri is now permissible, meaning residents can likely expect the abundance of CBD product availability to continue in the future.
For now, Missouri residents have plenty of choices when it comes to CBD. You can visit one of the many CBD stores in the state, or you can purchase CBD online in Missouri if you’re looking for truly the highest quality options. Whatever your decision, you should make sure you find a reputable brand; and the best way to do that is to check the availability of verified lab reports.
